Behnood Yakhchali, born in April 1981 in Tehran, completed his studies in Computer Science (Software) and is currently active in the fields of film and visual media as a Music Composer.

He began his professional career in 2001 by composing music for a documentary film. From 2001 to 2005, he collaborated with Iranian and international news networks and NGOs. Between 2005 and 2009, he honed his skills in film music composition as an assistant to the renowned Iranian composer Karan Homayoonfar.

Yakhchali has contributed to numerous projects as an assistant composer. Notable works include:

• Feature Films: Ghesse-ye Paria (directed by Fereydoun Jeyrani), Zadboom (directed by Abolhassan Davoodi), Khaak-e Aashena (directed by Bahman Farmanara)
• TV Series: Nardebam-e Aseman and Saheb Delan (both directed by Mohammad Hossein Latifi).

In 2010, he received the International Children’s Film Award for the puppet film Goordaleh directed by Nadereh Torkamani, the award for Best TV Film for Saat Be Vaght-e Sefr directed by Ahmad Moazemi, and several music awards from Canada, India, and the United States.
